Nine Snowboots

Crowded bus season
It’s September again. Crowded bus season. Halifax is a university city, so the buses and streets are teeming with young adults.

Social Distancing Diaries: April 22
I’m sitting at my laptop on a Wednesday night after taking a nap that lasted a little longer than it should have. I had a dream involving a trip to Winnipeg (which was much bigger and nicer than I remembered), watching an SNL episode that was completely different than the real thing, and trying to escape from a house where I inadvertently crashed a party. Fun times.

Social Distancing Diaries: April 8
John Prine died yesterday. I knew he was ill with COVID-19 and that it was pretty bad, but the news was still a blow.
Sweater weather
I'm at the library. The sun is out, but it's no longer warm enough to justify a T-shirt and shorts. I'm reluctant to wear the shorts anyway as my waist size is a little smaller than it was when I first bought them. I think I overestimated my girth at the time. The process of clothes shopping has never been my favorite and I end up relying on gifted shirts and pants. It's probably about time to get some new clothes either way. Nothing really seems to fit anymore.
The backlog
This is a three-day weekend for me here in Halifax (Natal Day). Truth be told, I could use the extra time off.
